K-SERIES

DESIGNED FOR ROAD & TRACK

Our K-Series range was originally developed for the Japanese market to offer a solution for the K-Car sector.  We appreciate that not all vehicles have the capability to run large wheels (17” and above) and as such there has always been a call for performance brake kits capable of fitting under smaller wheels. Since this time our K-Series range has progressed to include a wide range of caliper and disc options. Covering a vast array of makes and models K-Series performance brake kits are available with solid or floating discs and the option of 2, 4, 6 or even 8 piston caliper bodies (depending on application).

UNRIVALLED PERFORMANCE.

THE DIFFERENCE IS IN THE MATERIALS

ROTORS OF DISTINCTION

Choice of materials are the most crucial

ingredients when producing reliable brake discs.

Each Nashin disc is produced from a combination of high quality steel (FC-25) mixed with carbon (known as high cast carbon). The results of combining both material types means that the brake discs are far more friction coefficient when compared to normal steel.

Rotors produced entirely from steel (especially lower grade steel such as FC-20 / FC-22) expand by as much as 1.2-1.5mm when reaching

temperatures of 500°C. The equivalent Nashin rotor produced in high carbon will only expand

around 0.45mm in comparison. As a result Nashin brake rotors are able to withstand higher levels of stress and temperature without excessive material expansion or distortion.

THE ART OF PRECISION

CALIPERS BUILT TO LAST
Nashin K-Series Brake Caliper

With any brake system strength is always the key to reliable continuous stopping power.

Much like our brake discs and rotors, material choice plays a key element to ensuring the perfect Performance Brake Kit. Here at Nashin we choose to use a more expensive T6-6066 raw alloy material from which to produce our caliper bodies. T6-6066 provides improved durability over the more common T6-6061 and is less likely to deform when subject to extreme temperature changes.

In addition our brake caliper pistons follow a strict T651 heat treatment process which takes over twice the time of standard heat treatments. This improved process ensures the pistons are far stronger and more resilient to the harsh conditions associated with braking.

Each Nashin Performance Brake Kit is supplied as standard with our Sports pad, however we offer a wide range of optional brake pads, each designed for different driving styles or environments.

// Eco Pad - Our entry level brake pad and standard issue in all of our brake kits. Designed for fast road and occasional track days our green pad offers similar characteristics to a standard road pad with low dust emittance and respectable initial bite from low temperature. High temp fade resistance is improved when compared to the OE brake pad offering an improved platform for fast road and occasional track day use.

// Sports Pad - Designed to be suitable for road use but with a heavier metallic compound, our Sports pad is also once again for fast road our silver pads offer an improved initial bite with extended high temperature fade resistance against the green option, however as a result the level of brake dust emitted is increased as well as increased noise levels.

// Sports+ Pad - Produced with competition in mind our red pads have been specifically created for track / circuit use. Providing an impressive bite from the moment the flag drops our red pads will continue to perform even when the temperatures rise! Not suitable for road use.

// Competition Pads - The ultimate pads created for high level competition use, where continuous heavy braking and excessive brake temperatures are a common factor. With a high ceramic content our gold pads are formulated to be at their optimum performance capability between 270°C - 800°C. Not suitable for road use.

MOTORSPORT SPECIFIC

// RC5+ - Developed for light weight vehicles or racing in low grip conditions (street tires, gravel, mud, snow, water, etc.). An excellent track day compound, it offers moderate friction levels, low noise, is easy on OEM discs, and has excellent cold stopping power. Additionally, it can be used on the rear axle of vehicles to change the brake bias where standard bias adjustment is not possible.

// RC6 - Designed to apply to a wide range of motorsports, from rally to circuit. It has a high and very flat friction level and can be used successfully in almost every type of race car. Low compressibility provides a stiff pedal which greatly increases feedback and allows for easier modulation. It can also be used in the front or rear axle combined with the RC8 or RC5 to adjust bias.

// RC6+ -  The RC6+ was designed to offer very low pad and disc wear rates without sacrificing friction levels. Need pads to last 6, 12 or even 24 hours? Look no further than RC6+.

// RC8 - The RC8 compound boasts Nashin Brakes highest friction level and is used in top-tier motorsports such as WRC, WTCC, NASCAR, ZA V8, AWD GrpN, etc. Extremely high friction levels allow shorter stopping distances and the flat torque curve provides excellent modulation to prevent wheel lockup.

FOUR, SIX OR EIGHT?

CALIPER'S FOR EVERY SIZE.

A RANGE OF CALIPER'S TO SUIT YOUR WHEEL SIZE

KIT OPTIONS

We offer a wide range of caliper and rotor sizes under our K-Series range.

The smallest caliper we offer is a four piston (known as the K1 or K3 arrangement), then moving to a six (K5 & K7) and finally an eight piston caliper (K9) with each size dependant on the performance level required and your vehicles wheel size.

In addition we offer the option of one piece solid discs or alternatively bell and rotor, two piece floating disc arrangement.

Our application guide clarifies the available options available for your vehicle.
